Here’s a seemingly simple question: What are the best road trips in the country?
With 3.5 million square miles to see in this country, no mode of travel offers a better second-by-second chance to see what’s out there than a road trip. It’s the best and most pure opportunity to explore the States. We’re hindered only by our ability to perceive what’s around us—assuming that the surroundings are actually worth experiencing—and there being a functional road in place.
To get the most out of a road trip, we’d argue that the drive must offer access to exceptional and notable places of interest; to areas that allow us to explore our whims. There should be a chance for fun stops and detours that spin us in different directions. There also needs to be cool stuff to see—true “wow!” moments—whether from landscapes, city skylines or such. That’s just for starters.
With this in mind, we want to hear from YOU. What are your picks for the very best road trips in the States?
