If we’ve written a Bucket List, we recommend you go. If it’s on this list, it’s the best the city has to offer right now. Consider this your one-stop answer to “What are the best things to do in Biloxi?”
Located on a stretch of shoreline known as the “Secret Coast,” Biloxi is often labeled a casino town, but that’s just a part of the story. In reality, this Mississippi city has much more in common with its coastal neighbors of New Orleans and Mobile than it does with the state’s inland communities. There’s a standout food scene built upon the oystering and shrimping business, and a local arts community that shines in the area’s museums and galleries. Unlike other parts of the Gulf Coast, nearby barrier islands make the water at Biloxi’s white-sand beaches mostly warm and calm. Regional tourists caught on to the pleasantness of this city long ago: Biloxi accounts for a third of the state’s tourism. And yes, there are casinos.
