SunFest has been running for almost forty years on West Palm Beach’s waterfront, and, seeing as the rising tides have yet to take this beach away, will return in May for three days. It is hard to say what the tone of SunFest is other than a massive Florida beach party. Artists range from 2000s rockers Third Eye Blind to the local West Boca Jazz Band to well-known mom-dater/rapper Yung Gravy.
Food is a big part of SunFest, with over 100 vendors selling over the three days. But, hungry or not, if you’re over the age of 21, you have to try SunFest’s floating cocktail bar, the hottest spot to drink or just dance on the water. It may feel like dancing on a rocking boat, but who doesn’t love a challenge?
SunFest is not just a music festival, but an arts festival, where you can interact with and shop from local vendors in their Creative Arts Village and see Yung Gravy on the same day, which is a pretty good description of Florida’s general vibe. Items sold in the Creative Arts Village include upcycled goods, “functional art,” clothing, prints and on-demand services like body and face painting.
