Sueños Music Festival

Sueños Music Festival 2024

MAY 25-26, 2024
CHICAGO, IL

THE SHORT VERSION

Hit the biggest Latin dance party in Chicago with this 18-and-over reggaeton festival.

After a long winter stretch, Chicago heats up fast with the Sueños Music Festival on Memorial Day weekend. It’s a massive Latin dance party in the middle of the city in the 319-acre Grant Park. With a little salsa and bachata, some dancehall and dembow and a whole lot of reggaeton, the festival brings the sunny beach life to downtown Chicago.  Whether it’s a neon-coloured bikini top and shorts, or an oversized Cubs jersey on cargos, it doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you’re ready to throw down and get up close and personal with some perreo. Expect dancing everywhere: on the festival’s single stage, squished in the front of the crowd, spread along the grass in the back, even on L as you’re heading towards the venue with the rest of the train car. This year’s lineup is stacked with stars of Latin music, including headliners Rauw Alejandro, Peso Pluma and Maluma. On Saturday, Ivan Cornejo will give a special performance.

During the day, you can take a break to visit the “experiential village” areas. No information on their 2024 activities has been released at the time of this writing, but last year they had a ferris wheel and a women-only lounge area that offered hair braiding, drinks and a live DJ. If you plan on attending the Sueňos Music Festival, now’s probably a good time to start brushing up on that Duolingo Spanish you’ve had on hold for months. There will be afterparties on both days with even more performances at Latin clubs around Chicago.
