Taco t-shirts, white tents, and the warm breeze of San Diego beach wafting the smell of tacos – sounds pretty good to us. At the SoCal Taco Festival, you can try tacos from over 25 of the “finest taco and restaurants” (that are yet to be announced) around San Diego while sipping margaritas cheering on chihuahuas and wrestlers alike. There is no competition for who can eat the most tacos, but you can definitely try to see how many you and your friends can eat.
There will also be a chihuahua race and beauty competition, pitting against each other some of the cutest – and fastest – dogs that you have ever met. When you’ve absorbed all of the adorableness that you can, check out some action-packed Lucha Libre wrestling, where you will see everything from flying elbows to pile drivers. While music is not the star of the show at this festival, taco-eaters can expect performances from artists like Calibre 50, Kool & The Gang, a group of local and nationally recognized artists.
