Utah’s Get Lucky Festival — something one does not tend to think will happen to them in Utah — returns in March, this time around a few weeks early for Saint Patrick’s Day. The festival is known for its annual lineup of EDM artists and colorful and shroom-trip-evoking branding. With dancing, booze, and one can only guess a lot of hallucinogens, Get Lucky is in name and practice a BYU student’s worst nightmare. For everyone else, however, it’s one long rave and Utah’s premiere EDM festival.
Celebrity DJs Dillion Francis and Flux Pavilion will headline the weekend this year, with two dozen other electronic acts taking the stage before them. The festival is short but packs a lot in, with acts going on until 2 a.m. on both nights.
Once inside Get Lucky, you can move between the festival’s indoor and outdoor spaces. The indoor stage is the larger of the two, able to hold the festival’s 4,000 attendees, while the outdoor tent holds smaller acts throughout the evening. It’s a great place to cool off or watch the sunset as the sweaty bodies mosh on in the background.
