Croqueta Palooza is ubiquitously dubbed the “most Miami” event, like, ever. Incepted by popular food blogger Burger Beast, Croqueta Palooza is one night all about showing off Miami’s favorite snack, the croqueta, a breaded fritter filled with anything from ham to beef to cheese, deep fried and served with dipping sauce. They come in all different shapes, depending on the style, but are always bite-size finger foods. The event has evolved from showering the croqueta with love to a celebration of all kinds of Latin fare that make Miami Miami: empanadas, frita, pastelito.
If you think three hours isn’t enough time to dig in and try all the croquetas, you’re wrong. Most attendees report being totally, 100 percent stuffed after leaving Croqueta Palooza. It’s not just the croquetas filling their tummies, it’s the whole selection of Miami food and drink vendors, who are giving out bites like flan, café con leche, nutella doughnuts, Hispanic soft drinks and more. By the way, this event is for folks 21 years and older.
In (what will be) its tenth year, Croqueta Palooza is really by food-lovers for food-lovers. This event puts heritage and innovation at the forefront of the evening, with croquetas that are traditional and others that are introducing exciting new flavors, like bacon and Gouda or short rib.
