For two years now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opened the doors of their Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. during Spring Training for the Innings Festival , a two-day festival that brought together music and baseball fans. Despite its A-list lineups, the Innings Festival has it will not return to Tampa in 2024.
On the festival’s official Facebook page, a post reads “We had a great run at Raymond James Stadium but Innings Festival will not be returning to Tampa. Thank you for your support!” with hundreds of festival goers sharing their disappointment in the comments underneath. “I had the opportunity to be at both shows and loved it!!! Very sad this will not be an option for next year,” one writes, while others mention the best performance they saw at the Festival, many of them agreeing on Imagine Dragons’ set last year.
Together with Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews Band, Pitbull, Weezer and Marcus Mumford headlined Innings Festival Florida in 2023. In 2022, the festival kicked off with Green Day and The Lumineers headlining day one, followed by rock band 311 and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats the next day.
The Innings Festival Tempe will still take place in Tempe, Ariz., on the weekends of February 23 and March 1. Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews Band, Hozier and The Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline.
For Floridians who still want to jam behind home plate, Live Nation and the Tampa Sports Authority have announced another major music event that will take place at the Raymond James Stadium. Billy Joel and Sting will come together for a One-Night-Only Concert on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Tickets have already gone on sale.
